LinkedIn Definition

LinkedIn definition: LinkedIn is a business-focused social media platform launched in 2003. It is mainly used for networking, employment seeking, and business-to-business communications.

LinkedIn allows users to create profiles that function as online resumes. They contain information about key skills, previous employment, and current professional interests.

These skills can be endorsed by users’ “connections” – their contacts on that platform – who can also leave feedback on their experience with that particular skill.

LinkedIn shares many similarities with other social media, in so far that users can like, comment, communicate and share messages with each other in a news feed.

LinkedIn users can also look for jobs, send messages and advertise directly to other users.
