What is a No-Follow Link?

No-follow link definition: no-follow link refers to a hyperlink containing tags to tell search engine robots to ignore them.

No-follow links are primarily used in external links to indicate that the website owner does not wish to endorse the link.

This means when a search engine robot comes to interpret the hyperlink, the no-follow link is “overlooked” and not used as a factor for on- or off-page optimization.

No-follow links are created by adding a HTML tag to the end of the hyperlink.
