What are Stories?
Stories definition: stories are a social media function that allows a user to share disappearing content that appears for up to 24 hours.
Stories were originally pioneered by Snapchat but later adopted by Instagram and other platforms. They have become one of social media’s most popular features.
Users can “tell a story” by combining lots of different types of media, including:
- Images
- Video
- Text
- Emoji
- Links
- Augmented reality filters
These works as snapshots of their day-to-day life or current experiences. Users can “react” and respond to these stories as they are being posted.
There is no limit to the amount of content a user can add to their story; the only rule is that they expire after one day.
