CMS Definition

What is CMS?

CMS definition: CMS is short for  Content Management System; it is software that enables a brand to create, change and upload website elements.

A CMS works as an intuitive dashboard with options to:

  • Create posts
  • Create pages
  • Upload themes
  • Upload elements (videos, images, etc.)
  • Personalize URLs

Without needing to adjust a website’s code.

CMSs can also integrate with third-party software – known as “plugins” – to further customize experience, content, functionality or design.
